Here we are in the midst of a global pandemic and there is no clear end in sight. For many 2020 will be a year to forget. A write off! For the Christian however, nothing is a write off as we believe that everything God allows has value and can become a source of blessing and instruction for us.
We are Whitby Christian Fellowship work hard at "being church", not just "doing church". Our series of Zoom Bible studies have helped us engage with what it means to be the ekklesia, the called out ones, called by God to be separate and distinct from the world. We are challenging ourselves as we engage with Bible teaching and seek to apply it to our community. We are called to be together; called to be witnesses in the power of the Holy Spirit; called to care and called to worship. Great theology but the key for me is applied theology. Theology on fire!
